News Schiff and White to Star in McCarter Theatre Center's Talley's Folly Richard Schiff ("The West Wing") and Margot White (The Farnsworth Invention) will star in the McCarter Theatre Center's upcoming production of Lanford Wilson's Talley's Folly.

Directed by Marshall W. Mason, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play will begin performances Oct. 12 in the Matthews Theatre with an official opening scheduled for Oct. 17. Performances will continue through Nov. 2. Talley's Folly, according to the McCarter, is described as such: "On a moonlit night in 1944 Missouri, Jewish accountant Matt Freidman knows he has only one chance to win Sally Talley's heart. As they tip-toe toward love, the fragile pair must first confront her family's bigotry and their own tightly kept secrets."

The design team comprises John Lee Beatty (set design), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costume design), Phil Monat (lighting design) and Chuck London (sound design).
