In the below video, debuted by Buzzfeed, members of the Deaf West Theatre cast and creative team explain how the actors communicate on stage. Through countless rehearsals with director Michael Arden and choreographer Spencer Liff, the team has created a piece where deaf actors communicate the action and move the plot; hearing actors make the music.
