See Something Rotten! Fans Turn Out to Celebrate World Egg Day!

News   See Something Rotten! Fans Turn Out to Celebrate World Egg Day!

Part of the plot of the new musical Something Rotten! concerns the creation of a new musical entitled Omelette, so it seems only natural that the production celebrated the international holiday, World Egg Day with a series of events for the fans.

A special morning held Oct. 6 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street) in honor of Nick and Nigel Bottom's (Brian d'Arcy James and John Cariani) musical celebration of the egg: $35 general rush tickets were available at the St. James Theatre.

The event also included :
· A “Sweetery” Breakfast Truck was on hand with special egg-themed giveaways for patrons waiting on line, compliments of Sweetery NYC Bakery.
· All patrons on line received limited-edition Omelette the Musical Playbills.
· One person won an omelette frying pan, entitling them to a post-show meet-and-greet with Something Rotten! stars Brooks Ashmankas and Brad Oscar that night, who will autograph the pan.

The ten-time Tony Award-nominated new musical comedy features direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O’Farrell.
