Marion Seldes, Myra Carter and Betsy Von Furstenberg will star in Waters of the Moon by N.C. Hunter, the first offering in the New York-based Acting Company's annual Salon Series of stage readings of seldom-performed plays.
The Dec. 13 reading represents a reunion of the cast of the 1955 Broadway production of The Chalk Garden, which featured all three actresses. Seldes (who will also direct) and Carter also worked together famously in Three Tall Women. Also in the cast are Mia Barron, Richard Easton, Kate Forbes, Laura Hicks, Thomas Schall, Henry Stram and Erik Steele.
Waters of the Moon is about a small country guest house which is turned upside down by the arrival of a millionairess.
The remainder of the Salon Series runs as follows:
€ Jan. 10: Anouilh's Mademoiselle Colombe, starring Dana Ivey, directed by Mary Lou Rosato. € Feb. 14: Marivaux's The Game of Love and Chance, directed by Richard Corley.
€ March 13: J.B. Priestley's Time and the Conways, starring Felicity Jones, directed by John Miller-Stephany.
€ April 10: Noel Coward's Tonight at 8:30, directed by Maria Aitken.
Performances are on Mondays, at 7 PM, at either 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette), or Theater Ten Ten at 1010 Park Ave. (between 84th and 85th streets). Call (212) 944-5517 for specific information.
