Disaster! co-authors Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick reunite for a new production of their disco musical valentine to the outrageous disaster film genre that officially opens June 8 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre. Performances continue through June 16.

Seen on Broadway in 2016 following an extended Off-Broadway run, Disaster! has a book by Rudetsky and Plotnick. Rudetsky repeats his performance as disaster expert Ted Scheider in the production that is directed by Plotnick, who also directed the original New York runs.

The cast also features Nick Nudler, Alyah Scott, Griffin Binnicker, Benjamin Jackson, Anne L. Nathan, Angie Schworer, Maggie McDowell, Simon Longnight, Leanne Antonio, Sana "Prince" Sarr, Sasha Renae Brown, Spencer LaRue, Michael Katz, and Hayden Elizabeth Price.

Set aboard a floating casino and discotheque, which endures a series of epic and hilarious disasters, the musical incorporates disco hits from the era, including Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” and “I Am Woman”
