This popular adaptation, faithful to the script, tells the story of a father and his two daughters: Kate, a tempestuous woman who hates men, and Bianca, the beautiful complacent girl whose biggest dream is to be married. However, Bianca won´t be able to fulfil her ambitions until her older sister has taken the big step. Her only chance is to join forces with her father to get the shrew married off. Their choice of husband proves to be as difficult as Kate.

With this modern version of The Taming of the Shrew, director Dudu Sandroni intends to catch an enormous audience. "I have a wonderful script which is easy to understand. . ."

To get as close as possible to his audience, the director has selected a popular Brazilian soundtrack including famous singers; Barao Vermelho, Marina Lima, Marisa Monte, Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos.

Leading the cast are Mario Piragibe as Bianca and Marcia Duvalle as Kate. Also in the cast are Xando Graca, Marcos Acher, Isa Viana, Marcos Franca and Paulo Hewser. Tickets cost R$12,00.
