News She Loves Me Ice Cream Truck Delivers Free Vanilla Cones Today The pink truck is circulating through the theatre district and nearby areas through 5 PM today.

Roundabout Theatre Company has introduced the She Loves Me ice cream truck, a pink van delivering free vanilla ice cream to passersby in the New York City theatre district and surrounding areas.

Scheduled stops for the brightly colored pink truck include Bryant Park, Times Square, Flatiron District and Gramercy Park. New Yorkers wishing to snag a free ice cream can track the truck via Twitter at @rtc_nyc.

The truck is inspired by a key moment in She Loves Me, in which Zachary Levi’s character Georg Nowack brings Laura Benanti’s Amalia Balash some vanilla ice cream for her sore throat; the latter then sings the show-stopping "Vanilla Ice Cream." The two work as clerks in a parfumerie who, unbeknownst to the other, are writing one another love letters.

The Tony-winning musical comedy opened on Broadway March 17 with a star-studded cast that also includes Byron Jennings, Gavin Creel, Michael McGrath and Jane Krakowski. Directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, the revival is scheduled to run through July 10 at Studio 54. She Loves Me features a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. Musical direction is by Paul Gemignani.
