Among the items currently available for auction are meet-and- greet passes for stops on Sheik's current tour, including performances in Los Angeles, Seattle and Boston. The packages include two tickets for the concert, a backstage meet-and-greet, and autographed copies of "Whisper House."
Sheik is also auctioning off a private one-hour songwriting lesson. The lesson will be held at the Sony Music offices in Manhattan.
Additional items include a signed lyric sheet for "Whisper House," signed copies of the album, a signed photographic print of the "Whisper House" album artwork and signed T-shirts from the current tour.
"Whisper House," based on the forthcoming musical from Sheik and Kyle Jarrow, was released on CD Jan. 27. According to press notes, "Structured as a melodrama, each of the ten songs on the album weave together to tell the story of a child's grief and spinster's longing as seen through the eyes of the ghosts that haunt the remote, World War II-era Maine lighthouse where they live."
Songs on the album include "Better to Be Dead," "We're Here to Tell You," "And Now We Sing," "The Tale of Solomon Snell," "Earthbound Starlight," "Play Your Part," "You've Really Gone and Done It Now," "How It Feels," "I Don't Believe in You" and "Take A Bow." All proceeds from the auction, which concludes Feb. 22, benefit the non-profit human rights organization Amnesty International. To bid on the items, visit AmnestyAuction.
