News Shining City Makes L.A. Premiere at the Fountain Stephen Sachs directs the Los Angeles premiere of Conor McPherson's Tony-nominated drama Shining City, which begins performances Sept. 12 at the Fountain Theatre.

Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 19, and performances will continue through Dec. 19. The cast features Morlan Higgins, William Dennis Hurley, Kerrie Blaisdell and Benjamin Keepers.

"A middle-aged businessman living in Dublin (Morlan Higgins) has seen the ghost of his recently deceased wife," according to Shining City press notes. "Terrified and sleepless, he reaches out to a therapist (William Dennis Hurley), a former priest who is wrestling with his own demons."

The production features set design by Shaun L. Motley, lighting design by Ken Booth, costume design by A. Jeffrey Schoenberg, sound design by Peter Bayne and graphic design by Scott Seidman. Dialect coach is JB Blanc, and the production stage manager is Elna Kordijan.

Bennett Bradley and Deborah Lawlor produce.
