CHICAGO -- A playwright in search of the extreme experience, Anthony Clarvoe has already, in The Living, explored the "ground zero" of the great London plague of 1665 (the play was recently revived locally by Famous Door Theatre Company).
In Show and Tell, opening Mar. 26 in a production by Dolphinback Theatre Company at Angel Island Theatre, Clarvoe investigates the inner workings of an FBI investigation that's triggered by a topical horror: Kindergarten children are killed in an explosion of unknown origin. Around that atrocity Clarvoe constructs a jigsaw puzzle that combines a forensics mystery with a lesson in the cyclical nature of violence.
Gillian McNally directs a cast of six.
