The one-night-only concert is scheduled to begin at 11 PM.
Here's how 54 Below describes the evening: "Alumni of Broadway's Memphis, Jamison Scott, Kevin Massey and Patrick Massey, are Shubert Alley: a new country/bluegrass trio with soaring three-part harmonies and a new take on popular music. These seasoned Broadway performers lend their talent to arrangements by Michael Borth, singing an array of hits from the likes of The Beatles, Journey and Michael Jackson, in their own unique style. Eclectic taste in music and masterful musicianship combined with their chemistry on stage will leave everyone wanting more!"
"We called ourselves Shubert Alley as a bit of a tribute to our roots at Memphis in the Shubert Theatre," band member Kevin Massey told Playbill.com. The group took form in the men's dressing room at the Shubert and was rounded out with Massey's brother, Patrick, who is making his NYC debut in the trio.
Audiences can expect to hear re-imagined covers of popular songs "The Way You Make Me Feel" by Michael Jackson and "Can't Buy Me Love" by the Beatles as well as tunes by Chuck Berry and Bob Dylan — all in country/bluegrass style.
"We will [also] have some originals and maybe even a few Christmas tunes if you're not too naughty," added Kevin Massey. Kevin Massey's other Broadway credits include Tarzan and Big River. Scott also appeared in the 2007 Broadway revival of Grease.
