Side Show, a reimagined production of the Tony-nominated musical that ran on Broadway in 1997, will be presented June 14-July 13 in the Eisenhower Theater.

Produced in association with the La Jolla Playhouse, Side Show stars Erin Davie as Violet Hilton and Emily Padgett as Daisy Hilton with Matthew Hydzik as Buddy Foster, Robert Joy as Sir, Ryan Silverman as Terry Connor and David St. Louis as Jake.

Oscar winner Bill Condon directs the production, which features book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger.

Prior to its engagement at the Kennedy Center, Side Show played La Jolla Playhouse.

"Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression," press notes state, "Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love."

"I think everyone in this room is buzzing with excitement," Padgett said. "It's been six months since we were in La Jolla. It's a long time." 

"We just want to improve on what we have. We are going to be doing some rewriting, as well as [implementing] some new design changes we want to make," Russell previously told Playbill.com. "There's going to be a larger orchestra there, so that has to be taken care of. It's so great that we have this next step."
