News Single Tickets Go on Sale for 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival Sept. 1 Single tickets officially go on sale to the general public Sept. 1 for the New York Musical Theatre Festival, which kicks off Sept. 17.

Among the 34 new musicals taking part in the 4th annual festival are The Yellow Wood; Like Love; Roller Derby; The Brain From Planet X; The Good Fight; Die Hard The Puppet Musical; Gemini The Musical; Bernice Bobs Her Mullet; Love Sucks; The Piper; With Glee; The Beastly Bombing; The Kids Left, The Dog Died, Now What?; and Love Kills.

Numerous Broadway folk will populate the NYMF productions, including Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Lea DeLaria, Robert Evan, Kate Shindle, Megan Lawrence, Brad Oscar, Liz Larsen, Linda Hart, Ann Morrison, Meredith Patterson, Amy Bodnar, Lee Wilkof, Marla Schaffel, Mary Stout and Danielle Ferland.

During the festival Tony winner B.D. Wong will make his directorial debut with The Yellow Wood, while Roller Derby will feature a score by Tony-nominated orchestrator Harold Wheeler and direction by five-time Tony nominee Donald McKayle. Playwright Albert Innaurato is also represented with the musical adaptation of his Broadway hit Gemini. Grammy-nominated producer Bruce Kimmel presents the New York debut of his musical The Brain From Planet X, and OBIE winner Kyle Jarrow debuts his latest musical Love Kills.

Throughout the four-year history of NYMF, many of the anticipated productions sell out within the first few days, as festival members are able to purchase tickets prior to the general public release.
