News Six Musicals Named for Pittsburgh CLO Summer Season The 2017 season will launch with An American in Paris.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced its 2017 Summer Season, which will kickoff at the Benedum Center with the Tony-winning Broadway musical An American in Paris. Pittsburgh CLO served as the lead producer for the Broadway production, guaranteeing Pittsburgh audiences the chance to be among the first to enjoy the musical, which will be seen at the Pennsylvania venue June 6-11, 2017.

The summer season will also include Disney's The Little Mermaid (June 14-25), Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights (July 7-16), Disney's Newsies (July 18-23), the international hit ABBA musical Mamma Mia! (July 28-August 6) and the rock-and-roll-themed Million Dollar Quartet (August 8-13).

We are proud to showcase that commitment with next year’s lineup headlined by the Pittsburgh premiere of An American in Paris, fresh off its Tony Award-winning Broadway run, as well as the Pittsburgh CLO premieres of In the Heights, Newsies, Mamma Mia! and Million Dollar Quartet. In addition to these five Pittsburgh CLO premieres, our audience asked and we responded with the return of Disney’s The Little Mermaid,” states Pittsburgh CLO executive producer Van Kaplan. “This year, we are announcing our season early to reaffirm our commitment to making live theater accessible and affordable.
