News Soho Rep Receives $200,000 Mellon Grant Off-Broadway's Obie Award-winning Soho Rep has been awarded a $200,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Under the artistic direction of Sarah Benson, Soho Rep will utilize the funding to support its ongoing seasonal programming. Soho Rep most recently staged the twice-extended world premiere of Young Jean Lee's Lear. Soho Rep has also announced that the previously scheduled world-premiere play Orange, Hat & Grace, by Gregory Moss, has been postponed until next season.

Programming will resume at Soho Rep with Cynthia Hopkins' The Truth: A Tragedy, beginning May 6 under the direction of D.J. Mendel.

In recent seasons Soho Rep has staged the New York premiere of Sarah Kane's Blasted, as well as works by the Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Sixty Miles to Silver Lake, Frankenstein and Everything Will Be Different.
