International News Sophie Okonedo and Ralph Fiennes Will Co-Star in Antony & Cleopatra at the National Directed by Simon Godwin, the new production of Shakespeare’s classic will begin London performances in late 2018.

Tony Award winner Sophie Okonedo (A Raisin in the Sun, The Crucible) will join Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient, Hamlet) in the National Theatre production of Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra, according to the Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye.

Okonedo will star as Egyptian queen Cleopatra opposite Fiennes as Roman general Mark Antony.

Performances will now begin in late 2018 at the National’s Olivier Theatre under the direction of Simon Godwin. Antony & Cleopatra was originally announced to open in February 2018.
