News South Street Seaport TKTS Booth Reopens Oct. 1 The South Street Seaport TKTS Discount Booth reopens at its original location, the corner of Front and John Street, Oct. 1 at 11 AM.

The temporary booth, located at Fulton and South Street, closed Sept. 30 in order to move back to the original location, which was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

This temporary location was part of the Seaport's SEE/CHANGE Summer Program, which offers retail, dining and cultural offerings in an effort to help revitalize the local community.

"We're happy to return to our home at the Seaport," TDF's executive director Victoria Bailey said in a statement. "The Seaport's [SEE]/CHANGE Program was terrific, as it allowed us to serve downtown's theatregoers all summer long at a temporary location while the space at Front and John Streets was being rebuilt. With so many new shows opening on and Off-Broadway in the next few months, we are looking forward to a robust fall."

TKTS Seaport offers same-day tickets for evening performances and next-day tickets for matinee performances of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows for up to 50 percent off full price. Operating hours for TKTS Seaport at Front and John Street are Monday–Saturday from 11 AM-6PM and Sunday from 11 AM-4 PM.

TKTS is operated by Theatre Development Fund (TDF), a not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Since it first opened for business June 25, 1973, TKTS has distributed over 58.5 million tickets to Broadway, Off-Broadway, music and dance events.  Theatre Development operates two other TKTS Booths: The main TKTS Booth, which celebrated 40 years in Times Square June 25, and a satellite TKTS Booth in downtown Brooklyn at 1 MetroTech Center.

Theatregoers can see in advance what shows are up for sale at TKTS by downloading the free TKTS app at tdf.org/tktsapp or see online at tdf.org/tktslive. More information about TKTS can be found by visiting tdf.org.
