News Spider-Man's Carney Will Open for U2 in Summer Concert L.A.-based rock band Carney — featuring frontman Reeve Carney, who currently plays the title role in the Broadway production of Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark — will be the opening act for U2's summer concert in Canada.

Carney Tweeted Jan. 31, "It's true! Carney is opening for U2 on July 30th in New Brunswick, Canada in front of 80,000 people (what?!) It's us, Arcade Fire, U2. Crazy."

The July 30 concert marks the last date of U2's 360° Tour alongside Arcade Fire. The concert will be held in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Carney comprises Reeve Carney (lead vocals/guitar), Zane Carney (guitar), Jon Epcar (drums) and Aiden Moore (bass).

Zane Carney, Epcar and Moore are part of the orchestra for Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark, which is currently in previews at the Foxwoods Theatre. Julie Taymor directs the $65 million musical, which features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge and a book co-written by Taymor and Glen Berger.
