The reading, which will be presented at the Off-Broadway venue at 3 PM, will boast the talents of Becca Ayers (South Pacific), Michael Halling (A Tale of Two Cities), Sebastian LaCause (The Rocky Horror Show) and Vanessa Lemonides (York's Oh, Boy!). Annette Jolles directs. Spirits features a book by Reyn Guyer and Jeff Harrington, music by Harrington and lyrics by Guyer. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "A violent crime affects more than just the victim in the original musical drama Spirits, where six people are drawn together one night to try and break a cycle of violence and revenge."

The reading will be presented at the York's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th Street, east of Lexington Avenue. Although the reading is free, reservations are required by emailing Jeff Landsman at Jlandsman@yorktheatre.org (include name, phone number, the show's title and the number of tickets) or by calling (212) 935-5824, ext. 24.
