What show recently impressed you?
Well, I just arrived in New York a couple weeks ago, and jumped straight into rehearsals for Bend in the Road, so I haven't had a chance to see many shows yet. But I did get to see the closing performance of Ann at Lincoln Center, and wow!, Holland Taylor's performance was riveting. The amount of passion and energy she put into that production is inspiring.
What production are you most excited to see?
I want to see everything! Seriously. If I could figure out how to live in L.A. or NYC without any money, I would spend everything I have on the theatre while I'm here. I am especially looking forward to seeing all of the other NYMF shows during the festival.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
There are so many! But one of my favorite shows of all time is Into the Woods. If it was revived again, I would love to play Cinderella. (Or depending on how long it is until then, maybe the Baker's Wife!)
What are your current/upcoming projects?
I am currently in rehearsals for Bend in the Road, a new musical based on "Anne of Green Gables," for NYMF. It's a beautiful, funny and profound piece for audiences of all ages. I originated the role of Anne in the show's world premiere last year in L.A., and I am so excited to be making my NYC debut in the role that I created!
