Here, via email, we hear from Abigail Shapiro, the 14-year-old actress seen in How the Grinch Stole Christmas who is currently starring in the title role in Liberty: A Monumental New Musical Off-Broadway at Theatre 80 through Nov. 25.

What show recently impressed you?
The Les Miserables revival left me in awe! I've never seen this show performed in this way... and it was fantastic!

What production are you most excited to see?
I am most excited to see Side Show. I had the chance to see it in Washington, DC, so I'm eager to know what may be different. My sister Milly and I also have a cabaret rendition of "I Will Never Leave You" from Side Show on our CD, "The Shapiro Sisters: Live Out Loud," so it's near and dear to our hearts.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I would love to play Ariel in a revival of The Little Mermaid, but the only thing is... I can't roller skate. I've also always dreamed of playing Sara Crewe in A Little Princess and can't wait to make it one step closer to that goal when I do a cabaret version of the show led by Andrew Lippa next month.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
Currently, I am playing the title role in Liberty: A Monumental New Musical at Theater 80. I've never had a lead role before in an Off-Broadway production, so this is a whole new (and very exciting) experience for me.
