What show recently impressed you?
I was privileged to see The Testament of Mary before it closed. I found it to be a compelling piece, not only for Fiona Shaw's sterling performance, but for humanizing the figure of Mary. It embodied so much of what I love about theatre; provocative and moving at once. I was thrilled to be in that audience.
What production are you most excited to see?
I really want to see Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, though I think tickets will be in demand now that the Tonys are done. I love Durang's work and have heard nothing but glowing praise about his newest show.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I'd love to see Long Day's Journey Into Night revived and would kill to play Edmund in any production of that piece. O'Neill has a special place in my heart, and you better believe I'd be in the front row for any revival of this play. Though seeing the front row from the stage would be even better!
What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm currently playing Robert in the revival of Sidney Howard's The Silver Cord, playing at Theatre at St. Clement's through July 14, and about to go into rehearsals for Legacy Falls, a new musical by James Burn and Ian Poitier being seen in the upcoming New York Musical Festival in mid-July.
