Here, via email, we hear from Reg Rogers, who currently stars in the critically acclaimed revival of You Can't Take It with You at Broadway's Longacre Theatre.
What show recently impressed you?
Jacuzzi at Ars Nova by The Debate Society was the best thing I've seen in a very long time and made me proud to be an actor. It was the kind of creativity that will keep theatre alive. Also, I loved last season's All the Way. But I might be biased because my wife was in it.
What production are you most excited to see?
I'm very excited to see The National Theatre of Scotland's Let the Right One In at St. Ann's Warehouse. The Swedish movie was beautiful and frightening.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I've always wanted to play George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I'm finally old enough. Also, I love The Lion in Winter — I'd play any part they'd let me.
What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm about to start the second season of "The Knick," directed by Steven Soderberg for Cinemax, and I'm starting an Off-Broadway play in the spring.
