A host of Broadway favorites will take part in the free "Stars in the Alley" concert, scheduled for June 1 from 11 AM-12:30 PM.

The annual concert, held in Shubert Alley, will feature stars from most every show currently on The Great White Way. Among those scheduled to host or perform include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' John Lithgow, Joanna Gleason, Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott; Spamalot's Christopher Sieber and Sara Ramirez; On Golden Pond's Leslie Uggams; Fiddler on the Roof's Harvey Fierstein and Andrea Martin; Steel Magnolias' Christine Ebersole and Lily Rabe; The Producers' Richard Kind and Roger Bart; The Light in the Piazza's Kelli O'Hara; Glengarry Glen Ross's Tom Wopat and Frederick Weller; La Cage aux Folles' Gary Beach; All Shook Up's Cheyenne Jackson, Jenn Gambatese, Mark Price and Leah Hocking; Mamma Mia!'s Carolee Carmello; Rent's Frenchie Davis; Hairspray's Bruce Vilanch; and Wicked's Ben Vereen and Rue McLanahan. Attendees can expect to hear numbers from both this season's new musicals and those from other seasons currently running on Broadway, including Monty Python's Spamalot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Light in the Piazza, Sweet Charity, La Cage aux Folles, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, All Shook Up, Avenue Q, Brooklyn: The Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Rent, The Phantom of The Opera and The Producers.

The morning event, presented by Continental Airlines and produced by The League of American Theatres and Producers, will also include the presentation of the 2005 Star Award to Joel Klein, Chancellor, Department of Education for the City of New York "for his support for Broadway theatre." Gerald Schoenfeld and Jed Bernstein will present Klein with his award. The 2004 Star Award was bestowed upon Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Shubert Alley is located west of Broadway between 44th and 45th streets. Audience members should enter on 44th Street.
