News State Fair Named Best Musical by FANY State Fair and Buried Child received the top honors for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Play, respectively, at the third annual FANY Awards, given June 10 by the Friends of New York Theatre. Forum took home the most awards (4).

State Fair and Buried Child received the top honors for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Play, respectively, at the third annual FANY Awards, given June 10 by the Friends of New York Theatre. Forum took home the most awards (4).

Mark Linn-Baker, of Forum, quipped, "Tonight separates me from the egregiously overlooked." during his acceptance speech for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical.

Donna McKechnie, a winner in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category (in a tie with Jane Krakowski from Company) was much more introspective in her acceptance, noting an award that comes from the people truly comes from the heart.

Winners are voted on by the membership, which is open to all.
