News Stephanie J. Block Will Join Jason Robert Brown for "The Art of Songwriting" May 10 Tony Award nominee Stephanie J. Block will join Tony Award-winning Bridges of Madison County composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown for an evening of discussion and song May 10 at Milk Studios.

Hosted by Vulture, the 6:30-8 PM event, billed as "The Art of Songwriting," will feature New York Magazine theatre critic Jesse Green, who will interview Brown about his musicals. Block (Wicked, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Little Miss Sunshine) will perform along with Brown. Brown earned 2014 Tony Award nominations for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations for The Bridges of Madison County.

Brown is also the writer of Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, Urban Cowboy the Musical, 13 and Parade, for which he earned a Best Original Score Tony Award. His new musical Honeymoon in Vegas is slated to open on Broadway later this year. A film adaptation of The Last Five Years is also slated for a 2014 release.
