Cygnet artistic director Sean Murray will direct the musical, which features a score by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth. Performances will continue through Aug. 18. Here's how Cygnet bills the modern classic: "On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed New York bachelor Bobby contemplates his unmarried state. Surrounded by 'those good and crazy people, his married friends,' Bobby weighs the pros and cons of married life, leading to one of the most profound conclusions in American Musical Theater. Company was among the first musicals to deal with adult themes and relationships."
Company won six Tony Awards in 1971, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics, Best Book, Best Direction and Best Scenic Design. The 2006 Broadway revival also won the Tony for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
