News Stout, Zahler and Nogeira to Star in NYMF's The Boy in the Bathroom The upcoming obsessive compulsive musical The Boy in the Bathroom, selected to participate in the New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Link Project, has completed casting for its upcoming world premiere.

Broadway veteran Mary Stout, who originated the roles of Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Mrs. Fairfax in Jane Eyre on Broadway, will star alongside 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee's Michael Zahler and recent Boston Conservatory graduate Ana Nogeira.

Featuring book and lyrics by Michael Lluberes and a score penned by Joe Maloney, The Boy in the Bathroom follows David, a young man who never leaves his family's bathroom. "His mother feeds him thin, flat food she can slide under the door. He has everything he needs," according to press notes. "David has obsessive-compulsive disorder and he's not going anywhere... until he meets Julie... and discovers that there might be something - or someone - on the other side of the door that will make it worth opening."

Creative duties for The Boy in the Bathroom are executed by Jack Aaronson (music direction), Scott Easter (set design), Elizabeth Rhodes (sound design), Carrie Wood (lighting design) and Lisa Renee Jordan (costume design).

Lluberes will direct The Boy in the Bathroom for its world premiere at NYMF, presented in association with Montsgo Project and Geranium Theatre.

The Boy in the Bathroom will play Sept. 17–26 at the 45th Street Theater, located at 354 West 45th Street in Manhattan. Tickets can be purchased online at www.NYMF.org or by calling (212) 352-3101. For further information visit www.TheBoyInTheBathroom.com.
