Nunsense author Dan Goggin will direct his popular musical that follows the Little Sisters of Hoboken, running through June 6. The regional premiere of The Marvelous Wonderettes, the popular Off-Broadway musical featuring the songs of the 1950's and 60's, will run June 10-13 with direction and choreography by Stephen Nachamie.
Running June 17-20 will be the Tony-winning musical The Will Rogers Follies, featuring music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Adolph Green and Betty Comden, and a book by Peter Stone. DJ Salisbury will direct and choreograph.
The William Finn-Rachel Sheinken musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will run June 24-27, featuring direction and choreography by Jason Summers. Dennis Courtney will stage the popular version of Peter Pan, with a score by Jule Styne and Moose Charlap, and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Performances run July 1-11.
Edward Streeter's novel Mr. Hobbs' Vacation, will come to life July 15-18 in a stage adaptation by F. Andrew Leslie. Closing the season will be the Jerry Herman musical Mame, running July 22-31, with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson.
The historic professional theatre, founded as part of the Chautauqua Movement in the late 1800's, featured early-career performances by Bernadette Peters, Barbara Walsh and Faith Prince and has played host to concerts from veterans Kaye Ballard and the late Laurie Beechman.
