News Summer Solo Series Offers Works by Raffo, Berger and Lempert Beginning July 30 Carol Lempert's solo show That Dorothy Parker has been added to the Soho Playhouse Summer Solo Series on Aug. 5.

That Dorothy Parker will serve as the final offering of the celebration of solo work that began June 18. Artists represented include Nilaja Sun, Aasif Mandvi, Adam Rapp, Heather Raffo, Stephen Payne and Glen Berger.

The final week of performances begins with 9 Parts of Desire: In Concert, written and performed by Heather Raffo, with music by Amir ElSaffar (July 30); Underneath The Lintel by Glen Berger (Aug. 4); and That Dorothy Parker (Aug. 5). Performances are at 8 PM.

That Dorothy Parker, according to press notes, "is a solo show that weaves together hilarious anecdotes of the ten years Mrs. Parker spent lunching at New York's famed Algonquin Round Table, her involvement in the Spanish Civil war and selections of her writing."

Lempert's solo work was previously presented as part of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival.
