SAN DIEGO -- Wayne Tibbetts, the Diversionary Theatre's new artistic director, has announced the plays to be performed during the company's 1998-99 season. On Oct. 16 DT will mount its version of Tennessee Williams; Suddenly Last Summer, which will run till Nov. 21.
DT's 11th-anniversary season will continue with the late Robert Joseph's Christmas tribute to San Diego's gay and lesbian community, Our Gay Apparel, which will open Dec. 4 and run through the holiday season.
Four more plays have been selected by Tibbett: Women Behind Bars, Angels in America: Part One, The Rocky Horror Show and the San Diego premiere of the Internet comedy Cyberqueer.
