Created by the Tony-nominated writer of Runaways and Alice in Concert, Political Subversities is a collection of scenes, monologues and songs that depict the "absurdity of our world as it is now as well as the scandalous and outrageously stupid behavior of the people who inhabit it."

The new edition promises to send-up Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, Oprah Winfrey and anyone who's been involved in the recent trend of rehabilitation centers. The Feb. 1 performance of Political Subversities will "narrate their dreams, secrets, and sexual desires—ones we've all suspected but have not been brave enough to say out loud," according to press notes.

Political Subversities features Utkarsh Ambudkar, Bart Atsin, Danielle Levanas, Vella Lovell, Preston Martin, Chloe Ramras, David Skeist and Emma Tattenbaum-Fine. Five-time Tony nominee Swados directs, with Kris Kukul serving as the evening's musical director.

Elizabeth Swados earned Tony nominations for her work as composer, lyricist, book writer, choreographer and director of Runways. She has penned book, music and lyrics for Alice in Concert with Meryl Streep, as well as Lullabye and Goodnight, The Trilogy, Nightclub Cantata and Groundhog.
