Based on the children's book by Helen Young, the musical features a book by Alice Elliott, music by Robby Merkin and lyrics by Faye Greenberg. Janine Nina Trevens will direct. Press notes describe Wide-Awake Jake as "the wonderful musical for kids, by kids, about a young boy named Jake, who simply can't fall asleep, and the adventures he encounters on his quest for slumber. Join Jake as he meets a lion, a dragon, and a giant, and learn how easy and fun YAWN POWER can be!"
Additional creative team members include choreographer Joanna Greer, musical director Jim Colleran, set designer Joel Sherry, costume designer Cheryl McCarron and lighting designer Steve O'Shea. Casting will be announced at a later date.
