Writer-performer Tara Greenway will explore her personal battle for sexual and spiritual freedom in Missionary Position, a self-penned one woman show directed and developed by actress Ariane Brandt. Missionary Position runs at the Grove Street Playhouse Sept. 10-Oct. 17 with an opening Sept. 16. From fundamentalist Christian roots where she equated having sex with going to hell to all the openness and freedoms of New York City, Greenway makes a journey that can only result in a self healing, both physical and spiritual. Missionary Position was originally co-produced at HERE. As an actress, Greenway has appeared in A Thousand Clowns, Talley's Folly, The Importance of Being Earnest and off-off-Broadway in I Never Saw Another Butterfly.

The design team includes Mark Symczak (sets), Michael Selditch (projections), Matthew E. Adelson (lighting), Gregg Bellon (sound) and Sylvia Bailey (costumes).

Tickets are $35 and are available by calling Ticket Central at (212) 279 4200. The Grove Street Playhouse is located at 39 Grove Street.
