The event sponsored the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center's "Queer Songbook" series by will perform in New York City, Oct. 4 at 7 PM. Michael Lavine serves as producer and musical director. Among the Broadway stars who will lend their vocal talents include Robert Bartley (Miss Saigon), Shoshana Bean (Hairspray), Jennifer Gambatese (Hairspray), Eric Michael Gillett (The Frogs), Cheyenne Jackson (Aida), Melba Moore (Purlie, Les Miserables), Julia Murney (Wild Party), Meredith Patterson (42nd Street), Christine Pedi (Forbidden Broadway), Billy Porter (Grease), Robb Sapp (Zanna, Don’t!), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) and Rachel York (Victor/Victoria).

The songsters will performers songs from Avenue Q, The Wild Party and BARE and such upcoming shows as The Opposite of Sex (Doug Cohen), The Little Princess (Andrew Lippa), Was (Barry Kleinbort/Joseph Thalkin) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (William Finn). Other songs will include works by Steve Marzullo (Audra McDonald's "How Glory Goes" CD) and Jeff Blumenkrantz (Urban Cowboy).
