Chapin is now the president of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. In 1971, as a college student, Chapin was a production assistant — or "gofer" — to the creative team of Follies. Knopf released the hardcover book Sept. 30, 2003, to positive reviews. The work runs 331 pages and is priced at $17.95.
