Telecharge Forges Deal With SeatGeek Ticketing Platform, Which Specializes in Mobile Sales | Playbill

News Telecharge Forges Deal With SeatGeek Ticketing Platform, Which Specializes in Mobile Sales Telecharge has forged a partnership with secondary ticket search platform SeatGeek, which bills itself as "the web's largest ticket search engine," according to Forbes.

Under the new deal, the Shubert Organization-owned Telecharge will begin offering tickets to all productions at Shubert theatres on SeatGeek, which appealed to Telecharge because of its strength in mobile ticket sales.

Forbes reported that last month SeatGeek generated $18 million in sales — 45 percent of which was conducted by mobile devices. The Shubert Organization, and those who receive royalties for Broadway tickets, will receive a portion of sales.

SeatGeek co-founder Jack Groetzinger said that the company — which currently offers tickets to sporting events, concerts, comedy shows and more — is "trying to really grow a national brand," and Telecharge is a leader in Broadway and Off-Broadway tickets.
