In the middle of July, when you're going to a summer Broadway opening, it's a challenge to choose what clothes are right for the night. It's hot and humid outside… Then it's chilly and dry inside the theatre… How do you decide what to wear? These guys got it right for me. They are still managing to look cool when its hot.
The 8 Coolest Looks in Broadway Summer Fashion from the Opening Night of
Brian Stokes Mitchell
I love me a summer suit on a good-looking man and Brian Stokes Mitchell is it. The color is perfect. The suit looks fresh with a white, open collar shirt. He’s comfortable, confident and fully aware how the suit amplifies his charm.
Elizabeth A. Davis has the right idea with this sexy, black jumpsuit – with a pop of hot pink in her accessories. Her body looks great and those pink pumps lengthen her legs and are just perfect with the pink and orange tassle necklace. Right on trend.
Rachel York takes my breath away in this ideal, summer maxi dress. The black and white color blocking is in just the right places to accentuate her beautiful body. Her hair is simple, straight and frames her face perfectly.
The Cooper Family
I am loving the entire Cooper family. A group of fabulous and well-dressed individuals, out together to support Chuck Cooper in this opening. I couldn’t choose just one of them.
Stanley Bahorek completely gets dressing for a summer opening. His suit is fantastic for him. Whimsical. Fun. On trend. Love the flower graphic. Love the suit. Love him.
Josh Young is the ying to Stanley Bahorek’s yang. Also fabulous, but with an elegant, classic “old” Broadway look. Josh keeps himself modern by making sure the suit has a great fit.
Sara Brophy looks like a goddess in this dress. It’s perfect for summer and she’s chosen a great color with her hair. She’s accessorized with a nice strappy sandal, epitomizing the spectacular summer shoe.
Rachael Ferrera understands my concept of cool when it’s hot. This is a great way to go to an opening without wearing a dress. The pants are simple but the textured bustier brings it all together. An alternative look with the cool factor.
