"The After Party" to Welcome Make Me a Song Star March 2

News   "The After Party" to Welcome Make Me a Song Star March 2 "The After Party," billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," will welcome Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn's Sally Wilfert March 2.

Wilfert, who will co-star in the upcoming Finn revue at the Zipper Theatre, will be the evening's special guest on March 2. The singing actress is scheduled to perform a few tunes at the weekly event. Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" features Ray Fellman at the piano. Cabaret favorite Lisa Asher is also part of the "Party" mix — Asher will pour drinks and perform during the evening where amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Sally Wilfert's Broadway credits include Assassins and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer as well as the concerts of Disney's King David. She has been seen Off-Broadway in The Mistress Cycle and The Prince & The Pauper, and her regional credits include productions at Baltimore's Center Stage, Goodspeed, Barrington Stage Company and the Fulton Opera House.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
