News The Fortune Teller Will Return To HERE Nov. 29 The Fortune Teller — Erik Sanko's marionette play which features music by Sanko and Danny Elfman — will get a return engagement at HERE Arts Center Nov. 29-Dec. 23.

The show, about seven characters who are invited to the estate of a millionaire and told that they're included in the man's will, previously played HERE from Oct. 19-Nov. 5 and had several sold-out performances.

Elfman is best known as a composer of scores for films such as "Spiderman," "Men in Black" and "Good Will Hunting" and for the Tim Burton films "Edward Scissorhands," "Big Fish," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Batman," "Sleepy Hollow," "Corpse Bride" and "Beetlejuice," among others. He has also written theme songs for several television shows including "The Simpsons" and "Desperate Housewives."

Sanko is a marionette maker and an avant-garde musician who has played with The Loung Lizards and his own band, Skeleton Key.

The Fortune Teller includes puppetry by Sanko, Matthew Acheson, Liam Hurley and Randall Whittinghill. Sanko directs, and Gavin Friday provides vocal narrations. The show has been developed through HERE's Dream Music puppetry program, led by Basil Twist.

HERE Arts Center is at 145 Sixth Avenue, one block below Spring Street. For tickets, priced $20, call (212) 352-3101 or visit the box office.
