News   "The Impossible Dream": Reprise La Mancha, with Spiner and Migenes, Begins Feb. 14 Brent Spiner, who played Data on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and appeared in the original cast of Sunday in the Park with George, stars in the title role of the Reprise Theatre Company's production of Man of La Mancha, which begins performances Feb. 14.

Directed by Michael Michetti, who is co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court, the production will play a limited engagement at UCLA's Freud Playhouse through March 1. Spiner is joined onstage by opera and theatre star Julia Migenes (Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Carnival!, "Carmen") as Aldonza/Dulcinea with Lee Wilkof (Little Shop of Horrors, She Loves Me) as Sancho Panza. Valerie Perri (Evita) will play the role of Aldonza/Dulcinea at matinee performances.

The cast also features George Ball, Brad Culver, Thomas Fiscella, Christopher Guilmet, Daniel Guzman, John Kassir, Ethan Le Phong, Robert Mammana, Maegan McConnell, Stefan Raulston, John J. Todd, Wendy Worthington and Sam Zeller.

The creative team also includes Kitty McNamee (choreography) and Brad Ellis (musical direction).

Man of La Mancha features a book by the late Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion.

Thanks to a partnership grant from The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation, more than 3,300 underserved youth will attend an additional week of free student performances.
