News The IT Girl Composer to Receive Arts Achievement Award Paul McKibbins, who composed the music for The IT Girl, which played a successful run at the York Theatre, will be honored with the Arts Achievement Award Oct. 3.

McKibbins will be presented with the award at a ceremony at the Town Hall in Westport, CT. Previous recipients of the award include George Balanchine, Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. In addition to The IT Girl, McKibbins has performed his classical works at venues around the country. He is currently orchestrating the score for the upcoming production of Grand Hotel at London's Donmar Warehouse and is music editing a new vocal selections publication of Stephen Sondheim's Follies.

An Off-Broadway revival of The IT Girl, to be produced by James Simon and Jonathan Herzog, is scheduled for February 2005 at a venue to be announced. Based on the Paramount Picture "IT," the musical features a book by Michael Small and BT McNicholl and lyrics by McNicholl, who will also direct the Off-Broadway run.
