In the weeks since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, network television has rushed to lend a hand to the flagging fortunes of Broadway. Several shows, which have seen their audiences flee of late, have been invited to perform on daytime and nighttime talk shows.
The latest lucky production if Disney's The Lion King. The Los Angeles company of the Elton John-Tim Rice musical will perform "He Lives in You" on the "Tonight" show with Jay Leno on Oct. 2. The L.A. Company is currently ensconced at the Pantages Theatre.
The Lion King plays at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City.
