The TV series is produced by Scholastic Productions and is based on the best-selling book series by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degan.

A Bright Idea is an original musical produced and marketed by Strawberry Productions Inc. and the Brad Simon Organization, Inc. through their joint venture, Bus Adventures Live.

The show's storyline involves a light show at Walkerville's old theatre where Wanda tries to convince everyone that a ghost lives there. Nobody believes her tall tale until Arnold mysteriously disappears. Is the theatre really haunted? With help from the Fritz, the kids try to shed some light on the subject.

A Bright Idea has a script by John Michael Burke, based on the teleplay by Ronnie Krauss. Music and lyrics are by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer-lyricist Dennis Scott. Costumes are by Nancy Palmatiere. The touring show will visit over 60 cities this year.Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is located at 12700 Center Court Drive.
