“We may run through the summer,” the play’s star Raul Esparza told Playbill On-Line May 12. “After that, we’ll see. There is a Broadway house being offered for the fall.” A show spokesperson confirmed on May 19 that the show would stay through August, though an exact end date was not specified. Esparza was recently nominated for a Tony Award for his role in Broadway’s Taboo.

Directed by David Esbjornson, the Normal Heart cast also features Joanna Gleason. Hosted by The Public, Worth Street's The Normal Heart opened April 21, the same day the original production opened at The Public Theater nearly 20 years ago.

This staging received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Revival of a Play and four Drama League nominations, including a nomination for Distinguished Revival of a Play.

The cast also includes Richard Bekins, Fred Berman, McCaleb Burnett, Mark Dobies, Jay Russell, Billy Warlock and Paul Whitthorne.
