Peter Krause (After The Fall, "Six Feet Under ") stars in the eight-hour event about a detective who comes across a motel room key that opens a portal to alternate worlds. Bart will portray the detective's adversary, a sociopathic professor obsessed with obtaining the key. Bart – who now plays Leo Bloom in the Mel Brooks musical – originated the role of Carmen Ghia and earned a Tony Award nomination for his work. After reprising his turn for the movie version of the musical, he recently returned to the show on Broadway. The actor may be known to television audiences as the lovelorn pharmacist George Williams in "Desperate Housewives."
Other stage credits include Big River, Triumph of Love, The Frogs and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The latter brought Bart a Tony Award for his performance as Snoopy.
Filming on "The Lost Room" will begin this month in New Mexico, according to the trade mag, with Lionsgate Television producing.
