News THE SCREENING ROOM: Highlights from Billy Elliot's Farewell Celebration (Video) The Tony Award-winning musical Billy Elliot closed on Broadway Jan. 8. Before the production offered its final performance, former and current cast members reunited for a "Farewell Celebration," which was held Jan. 6 at Pearl Studios.

Donnie Kehr, who has also been seen on Broadway in Jersey Boys, Aida, The Who's Tommy, The Human Comedy and Legend, performed "New York State of Mind."

Joseph Joubert, whose Broadway credits also include Amen Corner, Truly Blessed, Five Guys Named Moe and The Color Purple, performed "Amazing Grace."

Also, Billy Elliot's Eboni Edwards, Tommy Batchelor and Kendra Tate also offered various performances at the "Farewell Celebration." The event was organized by Billy Elliot's Thommie Retter, who previously appeared in the production as Mr. Braithwaite.
