The Emmy Award-winning comedy-drama television series ran on ABC from October 2007 through June 2009. Narrated by Tony Award winner Jim Dale (Barnum, Candide), the series followed Ned, played by Lee Pace (The Normal Heart, "Lincoln"), a pie-maker who had the ability to bring dead things back to life with a touch. The cast also included Anna Friel (Closer, "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger"), Chi McBride ("The Terminal," "Golden Boy"), Tony and Emmy Award winner Chenoweth (Wicked, "Glee"), Tony Award nominee Ellen Greene (Little Shop of Horrors, The Threepenny Opera) and two-time Tony Award winner Swoosie Kurtz (The House of Blue Leaves, Fifth of July). Chenoweth's character, Olive Snook, worked as a waitress at the restaurant Pie Hole and frequently burst into song.
Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance in Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. The actress is also known for her award-winning film and television work, including "Glee," and the recent ABC series "GCB."
