News THE SCREENING ROOM: Megan Hilty Performs "Let Me Be Your Star" from "Smash" in Times Square (Video) Megan Hilty, best known for her performance as Glinda in Broadway's Wicked, stars as Ivy Lynn in the upcoming NBC musical drama "Smash." Here, the performer takes to Times Square to sing "Let Me Be Your Star," an original song from the new series.

"Smash," created by Theresa Rebeck (Seminar), includes original songs written by Tony-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can). The pilot was directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening, American Idiot).

"Let Me Be Your Star" is featured in "Smash" as a duet between Hilty's character, Ivy, and Katharine McPhee's ("American Idol") character, Karen.

"Smash" will launch on NBC Feb. 6 at 10 PM ET.
