Located in Manhattan's Hudson Yards, The Shed’s vision is to develop and present the full spectrum of performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture under one roof for all audiences. Among the works already slated for the venue's inaugural season are Bjork's Cornucopia, directed by Tony-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child director John Tiffany (May 6–June 1); and Anne Carson's Norma Jeane Baker of Troy, a partly-spoken and partly-sung performance piece based on Euripides’ Greek tragedy of Helen. The show was written for actor Ben Whishaw (Bright Star; Mary Poppins Returns; Skyfall; Broadway’s The Crucible), with Tony-nominated soprano Renée Fleming (Carousel, Living on Love).
